Denmark's annual inflation rate decreased to 1.9% in December 2025, down from 2.1% in the preceding two months. This rate marks the lowest level since June, driven by moderated price increases in several sectors: transport (1.2% compared to 1.4% in November), recreation and culture (1.8% against 1.9%), restaurants and hotels (3.3% compared to 4%), and health services (1.8% versus 2.4%). Additionally, there were notable reductions in the cost of furnishings, household equipment, and maintenance (-1.2% compared to -0.1%) as well as clothing and footwear (-0.2% compared to -0.6%). Conversely, the inflation rate for food and non-alcoholic beverages remained stable at 3.5%, as did housing and utilities at 1.2% and education at 4%. However, miscellaneous goods and services saw a rise in inflation (3.3% compared to 3%). On a month-over-month basis, consumer prices decreased by 0.4%, following a 0.3% decline in November. Core inflation, which excludes energy and unprocessed food, slightly decreased to 2.2% from 2.3% in the preceding two months. Throughout 2025, the average inflation rate was 1.9%.
