In November 2025, Brazil recorded the creation of 85,900 formal jobs, surpassing market projections of 75,000 and slightly above the 85,147 jobs added in October. The month saw 1.98 million hires and 1.89 million layoffs. Nevertheless, this figure represents a 19% drop compared to November 2024, marking the lowest November employment growth since records commenced in 2020. Agriculture experienced a decline with 16,500 net job losses, while construction and industry followed suit with decreases of 23,800 and 27,000 jobs, respectively. The losses were predominantly concentrated in the sectors of soybean and sugarcane cultivation, raw sugar production, and infrastructure and construction projects. In contrast, the commerce sector added 78,000 jobs, and the services sector gained 75,100 positions, posting net increases. Among the states, São Paulo led in job creation with the addition of 31,100 positions, trailed by Rio de Janeiro at 19,900 and Pernambuco at 9,000. Conversely, Minas Gerais and Goiás recorded the weakest outcomes, shedding 8,700 and 8,400 jobs, respectively. The average initial salary rose to R$2,310.78 from R$2,304.31 in October.
