Jordan’s annual inflation rate rose to 1.17% in February 2026, up from 1.06% in January. Price increases were recorded in health (0.49% vs 0.44% in January) and restaurants and hotels (0.43% vs 0.29%). Food and non-alcoholic beverages also rebounded, with prices rising 0.63% after an earlier decline of 0.80%. At the same time, prices for alcoholic beverages and tobacco were unchanged at 3.98%, while household furnishings and equipment stabilized following a 0.06% drop in the previous month.

In contrast, inflation eased in several categories, including clothing and footwear (1.11% vs 1.15%), housing and utilities (2.55% vs 2.78%), communication (2.31% vs 3.07%), recreation and culture (1.58% vs 1.67%), and education (2.77% vs 2.78%). Transportation prices fell more sharply, declining 1.48% after a 0.25% drop previously. On a monthly basis, consumer prices rose 0.22% in February, compared with a 0.17% increase in January.
