Industrial production in Slovenia increased by 2% year-on-year in July 2026, picking up from a 1.7% rise in June. Manufacturing was the main driver, with output up 4.5% after a 2.5% gain in the previous month. By contrast, mining activity remained weak, with output plunging 29.4%, though this was a smaller decline than the 48.5% drop recorded in June. Utilities supply swung into contraction, falling 13.9% after a 5.1% increase a month earlier.

By product type, output of investment goods surged 15.7%, accelerating from a 6.9% rise in June. Consumer goods production also rebounded, up 3.9% after a 3.9% decline, driven by higher output of both durable consumer goods (4.3% vs. -4.7%) and non-durable consumer goods (3.4% vs. -3.7%). In contrast, production of energy-related products slumped 16.5%, while output of intermediate (raw material) goods edged down 1.4%. On a monthly basis, total industrial production rose 1.4%, recovering from a 2% decrease in the previous month.
