10.09.202610:00:00UTC+00Israeli Consumer Sentiment Rebounds as Thomson Reuters IPSOS PCSI Climbs Above 50 in September

Israel’s consumer confidence showed a marked improvement in September 2026, as the Thomson Reuters IPSOS Primary Consumer Sentiment Index (PCSI) rose to 50.14, up from 46.77 in August 2026. The latest data, updated on 10 September 2026, indicates a positive Month-over-Month shift in sentiment following a weaker reading in the prior period.

The move above the 50-point threshold suggests that Israeli consumers, on balance, are turning more optimistic compared with the previous month. According to the Month-over-Month comparison framework, the “Actual” figure reflects September’s gain versus August, while the “Previous” comparison captured August’s change relative to July, when sentiment had been lower.

The improvement in the PCSI may signal strengthening confidence around household finances and the broader economic outlook, a development closely watched by policymakers, businesses, and investors assessing the trajectory of Israel’s domestic demand and spending conditions.
