Robotics – mechanical army of production
China is a global leader in the deployment of industrial robots. The country installs more machines annually than the rest of the world combined. However, the real revolution is occurring in the field of humanoid robots. Chinese companies are widely integrating these robots into factories, logistics centers, and even elderly care. These machines have complex fine motor skills and are trained using AI. Robotization allows China to maintain its status as the "world's workshop" despite rising labor costs. Chinese robots are no longer a luxury; they are a basic element of efficiency.
Solar panels – transformative technology
China has achieved the impossible, transforming solar energy from an expensive experiment into the cheapest source of electricity on the planet. The country controls up to 80% of the global supply chain, from silicon to finished panels. Massive solar farms in the Gobi Desert are visible from space and can power entire provinces. Western companies cannot compete with the scale and cost of Chinese production. This provides China not only with energy security but also with significant influence: those who control solar capture technology control the future of global energy.
High-speed trains – backbone of new empire
China's high-speed rail network spans 45,000 km, more than the rest of the world combined. Fuxing trains travel at speeds of 350–400 km/h, transforming the vast country into a single megacity. These trains operate reliably in both the permafrost of Tibet and the tropical humidity of Hainan. China has stopped purchasing technologies from Siemens and Alstom, creating its own standards. Now Beijing actively exports these systems, effectively "stitching" neighboring countries together into a unified economic zone under its technological patronage.
Drones – where vehicles cannot go
Chinese companies, led by giant DJI, have transformed the sky into a space for innovation. Today, China controls over 70% of the global market for civilian drones. No longer just toys for filming, these high-tech assistants are deployed in agriculture, cargo delivery, mountainous logistics, and for swarm technologies in light shows. Notably, the R&D cycle from idea to mass production takes months rather than years. China has integrated drones into its economy to such an extent that they have become a standard mode of transport, alongside cars.
Electric vehicles – end of internal combustion engines
The Chinese automotive industry has made a "quantum leap," bypassing the stage of catch-up development of internal combustion engines to lead the race for electric vehicles (EVs). Brands like BYD and Li Auto set the trend: their cars are gadgets on wheels equipped with autopilots and built-in AI assistants. China leads the way due to its control over lithium battery production and a vast domestic market. While European automotive giants grapple with bureaucracy, Chinese factories roll out new models every six months. Today, an electric vehicle from China is not a cheap imitation but a premium product.
Huawei – from resistance to revival and victory
Huawei has become a symbol of resistance and resurgence. Despite facing harsh sanctions, the company ended 2025 with revenues of $127 billion, proving the viability of its ecosystem. Smartphones running on Harmony took the top spot in China, surpassing Apple, while the number of applications exceeded 75,000. However, the real success lies even beyond this. The Ascend family of accelerators has become the foundation for training dozens of Chinese language models. Huawei has established a closed loop, from chips to operating systems, eliminating its reliance on Western technologies. Today, it is not just a gadget brand but a cornerstone of the country's digital independence.
AI and DeepSeek – "brains" of future
In the race for artificial intelligence, China is also betting on the speed of deployment. Neural networks like DeepSeek are trained on massive datasets with the backing of a powerful state and abundant energy resources. According to Nvidia's CEO Jensen Huang, the US takes three years to construct large AI data centers, whereas China can build similar facilities in a weekend. The rapid development of AI infrastructure has become a decisive factor. China is developing the "brains" of the future faster than the rest of the world can comprehend the rules of the game.
Quantum computing – reality hacking
In the pursuit of quantum supremacy, China is advancing along two fronts, using photons and superconducting qubits. The Zhujiang and Zuchongzhi processors solve problems in milliseconds, developing the key to creating an unhackable quantum Internet connection and modeling new materials. China is investing billions in entire "quantum cities," such as Hefei, aiming to turn theoretical physics into a tool for national security. The first to harness quantum technology will gain access to all digital encryptions worldwide, and China is now a step away from achieving this triumph.
Lunar program – China’s fifth ocean
China is also setting the pace in the new space race. Its spacecraft have landed on the far side of the Moon and brought back unique soil samples from previously unstudied craters. For Beijing, the Moon is an inexhaustible source of resources, such as helium-3. By 2030, China plans to land taikonauts and begin construction of an International Lunar Research Station. While others engage in budget discussions, Chinese spacecraft are methodically marking plots for a future base, transforming Earth's satellite into a strategic outpost of Chinese civilization.
